Village Pediatric Dentistry is proud to use the Solea® dental laser as an innovative, gentle treatment solution for our young patients!
Dr. Laura knows that many children struggle with dental anxiety, so it’s important that we do everything we can to ensure that our patients have positive experiences in our dental office.
The Solea® laser replaces the need for anesthesia, promotes fast healing, mitigates pain and bleeding, and makes for more efficient and positive office visits.
What is the Solea® dental laser?
The Solea® laser system is unique compared to other laser systems because it allows Dr. Laura and her team to make gentle, fast, and precise incisions. Solea® uses high frequency wavelengths to gently cut remove cavities or soft tissue lesions, which enables us to perform a variety of procedures virtually pain-free and blood-free, without anesthetic or sutures.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recognizes that using lasers in pediatric dental care is especially beneficial in providing dental restoration, and soft tissue procedures for infants, children and adolescents, including those with special healthcare needs.

Is the Solea® laser safe?
Yes! All technology we use with our young patients is considered safe. The Solea® laser does not emit harmful radiation, and it is approved by the FDA.
Your child will wear safety glasses during their procedure for added protection.

"We have had the privilege of Dr Laura being our child’s dentist for a number of years. My now 12 year old HATED the dentist. She needed quite extensive orthodontic work done, but had to have the dental work done first. We lucked in to being placed on Dr. Laura’s schedule and we have never looked back.
